Contingency Search

A contingency search agreement between hiring company and Madison Wells stipulates that Madison Wells will employ resources "at Madison Wells' discretion" to locate desired talent. A contingent fee typically represents a percentage of first year earnings applied at point of hire.

Retained Search

Unlike contingency searches, retained searches represent a commitment from both sides. An initial payment begins the process, with additional payments due upon meeting specified search goals and ultimately staffing the desired candidate.
